Karen Slein - Chief Human Resources Officer
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Karen is responsible for driving organizational performance through highly effective people practices. With over twenty-five years of human resources leadership experience, Karen works with the leadership team to attract top talent, build a high performance culture, and align human capital for competitive advantage.
Karen has a passion for working with the leadership team to explore what’s possible. She is a master at guiding the organization through significant challenges that range from attracting and retaining key talent, to developing succession plans, designing organizational structures, creating performance management programs, developing compensation structures, coaching, and delivering training and development programs and managing employee relations.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Regis College and a Master of Science in Management from Lesley University. She also received a certificate in Human Resources Management from Bentley College. Karen is trained through the Coaches Training Institute and she is a member of both the International Coach Federation and the Northeast Human Resources Association. Karen is also qualified to administer and interpret the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI), Predictive Index and DiSC. Her affiliations include The Boston Club, Club Vice President of an Investment Club, and she sits on the Board of Directors for the Ocean Edge Condominium Association.
Life outside the office
Outside of work Karen and her husband Ed enjoy following the Bentley University Falcon football team watching their son John, starting offensive tackle. In the off season, they enjoy their summers “down the Cape” golfing, boating and beaching in Brewster, MA.
