Artika Wadhwa - Chief Legal Officer
As Chief Legal Officer, Artika is responsible for all legal matters, including corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property, technology licensing, litigation, real estate, contracts and corporate maintenance. She started her legal career at Cushing & Dolan, P.C., working within their corporate law department and later within estate and tax planning. Prior to her legal career, Artika served as an application developer and database analyst for various organizations including Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Mellon Bank, and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. She also worked as a technical analyst for iMarket, Inc. (acquired by Dun & Bradstreet) within their professional services division assisting in the development of custom lead generation portals.
Artika earned a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information System from Suffolk University. She later went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Roger Williams School of Law.
Life outside the office
Artika is the founder and owner of a full-service estate and business planning firm, the Estate & Elder Law Advisory, LLC, and a real estate brokerage firm, Stark Real Estate Solutions. In addition, Artika devotes many hours to community service – she spent the 2011 summer mentoring a group of inner-city youth for John Hancock’s MLK Summer Scholars program, regularly serves meals at Pine Street Inn and New England Center for Homeless Veterans, records books with Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic and serves on the Board of Trustees for her residential community.
During her free time, Artika enjoys reading, traveling and staying physically active with daily boot camp classes and running, having just survived her first Warrior Dash! She’s also an avid football fan, regularly plays fantasy football and has a long-standing tradition of traveling to a different city each year to see her favorite team, the Patriots, play one game on the road.
