George Zmudzien, Jr. - Director of Accounting Services
George is responsible for overseeing the general accounting and financial functions including inter-company accounting, cash management/reconciliation, credit risk, accounts payable/receivable and balance sheet management. He is responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that ensures Oceanos assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with financial policies and US GAAP.
George began his career with the private investment bank, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., Boston where he was in charge of filing all foreign recoverable taxes and monitoring refunds on behalf of BBH’s mutual fund clients. He also worked as a Custody Account Manager with Brown Brothers, ensuring accurate and timely valuation within the fund portfolios and calculating and verifying the daily cash availability. George operates his own accounting and tax practice with over 20 years experience filing individual and corporate tax returns along with non-profit and fiduciary tax filings. George has an AS degree in business from Massasoit Community College and studied accounting at Northeastern University.
Life outside the office
George is married to his wife Sarah and they have two young boys, George III and Andrew. When not spending time with his family, George enjoys an occasional round of golf on some of the many golf courses from Plymouth to Cape Cod. He also enjoys following baseball and football and can be seen attending Cape Cod Baseball League games with his family during the summer months.
